World No Tobacco Day

“The only thing that tobacco brings along with it is disease which later converts in death and despair for your loved one…. Save yourself and your family from a disaster like this by quitting tobacco."

History:

In 1987, the World Health Assembly passed Resolution WHA40.38, calling for April 7, 1988, to be "a world no-smoking day." In 1988, Resolution WHA42.19 was passed, calling for the celebration of World No Tobacco Day, every year on May 31.

This yearly celebration aims to raise awareness amid the global citizens about not only the dangers of using tobacco but also the business practices of tobacco companies, what WHO is doing to fight the tobacco epidemic and what people around the world can do to claim their right to health and healthy living and to protect future generations.

Each year, the World Health Organization (WHO) holds World No Tobacco Day on May 31. Their goal is to spread awareness about the risks of tobacco use and how we can make the world tobacco free. Roughly 6 million people die from tobacco-related ailments every year. And that number is projected to rise to over 8 million by 2030. But this is by no means a guarantee. The Sustainable Development Agenda aims to reduce deaths from noninfectious diseases by a third. Diseases linked to tobacco are on the list, so if we hit the target, 2030 will be a year to celebrate (oh yea!)—not only for our health, but the size of our wallets. Your average smoker drops around $4,000 on cigarettes annually. Imagine all of the other cool holidays you could enjoy with that money (we have a few suggestions, just saying). So let’s use World No Tobacco Day as a launching pad to a brighter and less smoke future!

“Life is too precious to smoke tobacco and therefore, we must save ourselves from it. Warm wishes on World No Tobacco Day to everyone.”

Happy World No Tobacco Day to all.”

World No Tobacco Day 2021 Wishes

Dear smokers, you are not only ruining your health but also spoiling the lives of your most beloved people. Happy World No Tobacco Day!

It may be difficult to quit smoking at first but it is not impossible. Have a healthy and positive World No Tobacco Day !

4 Ways to Prove the Earth Is Round

Compare shadows: Advertisement The first person to estimate the circumference of the Earth was a Greek mathematician named Eratosthenes, who was born in 276 B.C. He did so by comparing shadows case on the day of the summer solstice in what is today Aswan, Egypt, with the more northerly city of Alexandria. At noon, when the sun was directly overhead in Aswan, there were no shadows. In Alexandria, a stick set in the ground cast a shadow. Eratosthenes realized that if he knew the angle of the shadow and the distance between the cities, he could calculate the circumference of the globe. On a flat Earth, there wouldn't have been any difference between the length of the shadows at all. The sun's position would be the same, relative to the ground. Only a globe-shaped planet explains why the sun's position should be different in two cities a few hundred miles apart.                            Go climb a tree: This is another ...

Chemical reaction and equation

Chemical reactions -   The transformation of chemical substance into a new chemical substance by making and breaking of bonds between different atoms is known as Chemical Reaction.  Signs of a chemical reaction These factors denote that a chemical reaction has taken place- change of state of substance, change of color of substance, evolution of heat, absorption of heat, evolution of gas and evolution of light. Chemical Equation:   The representation of chemical reaction by means of symbols of substances in the form of formulae is called chemical equation.  E.g. - H 2  + O 2  ⇒ H 2 O                        Balanced Chemical Equation:   A balanced chemical equation has number atoms of each element equal on both left and right sides of the reaction.                                    *No...
