Short notes:

* Electric current and circuit

* Electric potential and potential difference

* Circuit Diagram

* Ohm's Law

*Combination of Resistance

* Series combination of resistance

* parallel combination of resistance

* Heating Effect of electric current

*  Electric power

1) Electric current and circuit:

     I= Q/t

where I= electric current

         Q= charge

         t= time

S.I unit of  , I= ampere

                   Q= coulomb

                    t= sec

2)Electric potential and potential difference :

 V= W/ Q

where  V = potential  difference

            w= work

             Q= charge

S.I unit of  V= volt

                  w= joule

                  Q= coulomb

3) Circuit Diagram:

4) Ohm's Law :

         V= IR

=> R= V/I

=>I= V/R

 where  V = potential difference

             R= Resistance

              I= Electric current

 S.I unit of  R=  ohm

5) Combination of Resistance : It is of two types ,

i.e   i) Series combination of resistance

       ii) parallel combination of resistance

i) Series combination of resistance:

 R= R1+R2+R3+R4---------+Rn

  ii) parallel combination of resistance

1/R=1/ R + 1/R+ 1/ R  + -------- + 1/Rn

6)  Heating Effect of electric current :

P= VI

where I= Q/t

P= VQ/ t

=> H= VIt

where H = heat

7)  Electric power :

P= VI

 where p = power

 S.I of  p= watt

notes:

 1kw= 1000w

Mechanical and durability Behavior of fiber reinforced concrete incorporating deferent types of natural, pp and steel fibers

  1. Introduction As an important building material, concrete has been widely used in civil engineering applications such as bridges and roads engineering, and the related experimental study of the mechanical properties of concrete was also fruitful . With the vigorous development of engineering construction, high-performance concretes such as fiber-reinforced concrete was applied gradually in important engineering structures . Among these high-performance concretes, for the advantages of low cost, easy fabrication, and performance improvements, obviously, steel fiber-reinforced concrete was used widely in the current engineering field . However, the study showed that uneven incorporation of steel fiber would affect the fluidity and uniformity of concrete mixing and even result in fiber bonding, which eventually affects the reinforcement effect of mechanical properties. Up to now, most research paid attention on the improvement effect of different types of fiber or optimum fiber co...

Chemical reaction and equation

  Chemical reactions -   The transformation of chemical substance into a new chemical substance by making and breaking of bonds between different atoms is known as Chemical Reaction.  Signs of a chemical reaction These factors denote that a chemical reaction has taken place- change of state of substance, change of color of substance,evolution of heat, absorption of heat, evolution of gas and evolution of light. Chemical Equation:   The representation of chemical reaction by means of symbols of substances in the form of formulae is called chemical equation.  E.g. - H 2  + O 2  ⇒ H 2 O                        Balanced Chemical Equation:   A balanced chemical equation has number atoms of each element equal on both left and right sides of the reaction.                                    *No...

4 Ways to Prove the Earth Is Round

Compare shadows: Advertisement The first person to estimate the circumference of the Earth was a Greek mathematician named Eratosthenes, who was born in 276 B.C. He did so by comparing shadows case on the day of the summer solstice in what is today Aswan, Egypt, with the more northerly city of Alexandria. At noon, when the sun was directly overhead in Aswan, there were no shadows. In Alexandria, a stick set in the ground cast a shadow. Eratosthenes realized that if he knew the angle of the shadow and the distance between the cities, he could calculate the circumference of the globe. On a flat Earth, there wouldn't have been any difference between the length of the shadows at all. The sun's position would be the same, relative to the ground. Only a globe-shaped planet explains why the sun's position should be different in two cities a few hundred miles apart.                            Go climb a tree: This is another ...
